Invited by Ahmed Hassan, Chairman of Sporting Club, Major General/ Ismail El-Qirqawy, Chairman of both the Arab and the Emirati Basketball Federation, visited Sporting Club in Alexandria yesterday to review the desire of the great club to host one of the Arab championships. El-Qirqawy confirmed the approval of the Arab Federation of such willingness of hosting, and undertook to provide all the necessary facilities to accomplish such mission. El-Qirqawy also expressed his confidence in the ability of the great club to achieve the desired objectives, wishing that such meetings with the Arab clubs would continue with the purpose of discuss the future of Arab basketball and its development in order to increase the capability of continental and international competition. Aside from this visit, the Chairman of the Arab Basketball Federation referred to Arab Clubs Championships that would be held in Kuwait during next October, saying that his federation welcomes the vast participation of the Arab clubs. Furthermore, if some clubs are unable to participate due to their participation in the last period, there is a proposal of nominating other clubs from each country in order to be present in this great sportive event. He also asserted his trust that the Kuwaiti brothers are able to render the next championship completely successful. On the other part, Ahmed Hassan expressed his happiness for the visit, asserting the eminent role of the Arab Federation under the commandment of Major General/ Ismail El-Qirqawy for a better future of the Arab basketball. At the end of the visit the two parties exchanged honor shields.
