Al-Riyadi defeats Al-Ahly Benghazi and joins the defending champion to the quarter-finals, and Beirut wins Al-Sadd and faces Al-Riyadi in the quarter-finals

 

The Lebanese Al-Riyadi joined Al-Ahly of Egypt, the defending champion, to the quarter-finals after its victory over Al-Ahly Benghazi 80/98. The Lebanese team tried to distribute its effort over the four periods and reduce it at times in preparation for the expected Lebanese summit with Beirut, from which it snatched the spotlight in the current season after winning the league championship. The results of the periods were as follows: 9/16, 21/30, 25/22 and 25/30 Al-Riyadi players Michael and Al-Ahly Benghazi Joseph were equal in number of points with 27 points, followed by Hayek from Al-Riyadi with 17 points. Al-Riyadi scored 11 three point shots with difference one shot than Benghazi.
