Today, the technical meeting of the 3rd Arab Championship 3×3 for men and women was held at exactly eight o’clock in the evening at the hotel where the teams are located, in the presence of Mr. / Abdul Rahman Al-Massad, Chairman of the Technical Committee, Mr. / Abdullah Shalabi, Secretary-General of the Arab Basketball Federation, and Mr. / Saadoun Al-Kuwari, member of the Technical Committee and Chairman of the Organizing Committee For the championship, Brigadier General / Wael Lotfi, General Manager of the Arab Basketball Federation, and the managers of the teams participating in the tournament.
The Technical Committee explained the system of the men's and women's championships and the Distribution of the teams according to the 3×3 classification of the International Basketball Federation 3x3
The women's tournament system was set as follows:
The order of the teams is as follows:
1- Qatar
2- Kuwait 1
3- Saudi Arabia
4- Jordan
5- Kuwait 2
The tournament will be held in a league system from one round, and the first four teams advance to the semi-finals, then the first meets the fourth, and the second meets the third
and for the men's championship, the participating teams were divided into two groups according to the international classification 3x3 as follows:
Group A: Qatar 1 - Jordan - Iraq
The second group: Qatar 2 - Saudi Arabia - Mauritania
One-round league matches are held between the teams of each group
The first-place in each group advances directly to the semi-finals.
The (incomplete) quarter-finals will be held between:
The second of the first group meets the third of the second group
The second of the second group meets the third of the first group
Then, finally, the semi-finals and the final rounds are held according to the winning teams in the games.
