The Arab General Assembly selects a new Board, Abo Frekha, Elmosaad, and Hakeem are vice-president; Tunisia competes Mauritania on the fourth chair. 

 

ABC General Assembly in its meeting tomorrow Thursday noon a new Board  

for a new term and vice-president for the four zones as it was agreed in the previous day meeting on Wednesday which was held in Dubai Sports Council to name the vice-president of three zones as follow:  

Dr. / Magdi Abo Frekha the President of Egyptian Basketball Federation as vice-president for central zone and Hassan Youssef the vice-president of Sudanese Federation as a member. 

Abdelrahman Almosaad from Saudi Arabia Kingdom as a vice-president for the second time consequently for Gulf zone and Owied Alenizy from Kuwait as a member. 

 Nadeem Hakeem, the Lebanon nominated delegate as a vice-president for Arab East zone and Abdelsattar Elhamadany from Yemen as a member. 

The General Assembly was left to elect the vice-president and the member for Arab west zone after the tie between the votes of Aly Elbenzerty the Tunisia Federation’s President and Mohamed Boy the President of Mauritania Federation for the vice-president position by two votes for each of them; and the votes of Algeria Federation’s President / Rabeh Bo Oreify with the votes of Gamal Moftah the General Secretary of Libya Federation for the membership. 

The General Assembly approved appointing Nora Elswedy from Emirates as a vice-president for Women category by acclamation in addition to a member to be delegated from Palestinian Federation. 

The Session opened by the speech of the Major-General / Ismail Elkarakawy the President of ABC and Emirates Federation who welcomed all the attendees and thanked the current Board and its various committees for their efforts in the previous term and also, he wished good luck for the new members either who were approved or who are going to be elected tomorrow Thursday; Elkararkawy praised the efforts of the General Secretariat despite the pandemic of Covid-19 Virus. 

Then, the General Secretary General / Abdalla Shalaby presented a detailed administration and financial report about the work of the current Board and the draft budget of the new term, the new Board approved Tunisia request to host the 25th Arab Championship for National Team in a date to be determined later between late October and the beginning of next November.
