Kuwaiti Al-Qarin withdraws from the Arab Women’s Basketball Championship Tomorrow the title will be between Al-Kawkab and Kosidar

There have been new developments in the Arab Women's Basketball Championship currently being held in Morocco, as the Kuwaiti Al-Qarin delegation announced its withdrawal as a result of the repercussions of the earthquake that struck brotherly Morocco last Saturday, noting that the head of the delegation had confirmed their continuation in the tournament during the joint meeting with the technical committee following the earthquake and then yesterday evening he informed the organizers of the withdrawal decision based on the directives of the responsible authorities in Kuwait.

This sudden development led to the closing date of the tournament being moved forward to tomorrow, Tuesday, instead of Wednesday, and a single match was held between Al-Kawkab Al-Marrakesh and Kossidar of Algeria, at 4:00 PM Morocco time, 7:00 PM UAE time, to determine the champion and consider Gift Star of Somalia the winner of the bronze medal. Late yesterday evening, an emergency meeting was held, it included Dr. Magdy Abu Freikha, Vice President of the Arab Federation, Brigadier General Abdullah Shalabi, Secretary-General of the Federation, and Mustafa Orsh, President of the Royal Moroccan Basketball Federation, and they decided to bring forward the closing date of the Championship.
